It’s FINALLY finished! Okay—the first draft of it, anyway.  Lots of people ask if I have a book out, and now, I am so close to having one out! To give you an idea of what the book is about, here is an excerpt from the prologue of From Surviving to Thriving: The Journey in Overcoming:

I’ve been asked more times than I can count how I’ve “gotten over” being the survivor of a failed abortion attempt and ultimately come to a place where I bestow grace, love and forgiveness to the world, including my own biological parents and others who have been impacted by abortion.  Quite simply, it’s the Lord’s grace.  And through His grace, I’ve been not only redeemed, but transformed.

I will never “get over this,” but I have gotten through it—through struggles with the world, with myself, and even with God, through moments of brokenness and pain, through tests of obedience and faith, through feelings of shame, doubt and fear.  Although my experience as an abortion attempt survivor is unique, I know that my overall experiences as a human being are common to yours.  It is my hope and I believe God’s plan, for you to learn from my experiences and to learn, to heal, and to be transformed in ways that you never thought were possible.

No matter how painful your life circumstances have been, no matter what your relationship with Jesus Christ is like right now, no matter what mistakes you’ve made or sins you’ve committed, no matter what opportunities you’ve failed to take advantage of to be closer to Him or to better yourself and this world, do not feel ashamed.  Do not despair.

I am here to very candidly and lovingly let you know that you are not alone.  I’ve been there, and so have many others.  No, you don’t ever “get over” whatever IT is, but you will get through it, and it is God’s will that you come out of it on the other side.  You may not be the person you wanted to be.  You may not have the life you always dreamed of or planned for, but you will be abundantly blessed beyond measure.

Have hope.  Christ overcame the world.  You can overcome it through He overcame it all.

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world”–1 John 4:4.
